  • Our sessions will capture a few formal portraits, but our primary focus is on creating authentic images that reflect life in your family.
  • We’ll photograph your family not just in formal poses, but also doing things that your family does.
  • If you’re just looking for a classic family portrait, we can tailor our session to those needs as well.

  • We encourage families to plan an activity or two that is normal and engaging for everyone. This could be cooking dinner, playing a board game, going on a hike or bike ride, or just playing in the back yard.
  • We’ll start the session with a few traditional, posed portraits and then work to capture images of your family in its element.

  • These are generally less awkward and forced than a traditional family portrait session.
  • The key difference is that you are in a place that is comfortable for everyone (bathrooms! diapers! distractions!) and any prompting will naturally follow from the activities at hand.

  • Of course not. We love creating images that capture the essence of our important spaces (think real estate photos, but of your home as-is).
  • But we can do sessions anywhere. The park, the trail, the river, a T-ball game. Life happens everywhere, and we’re here for that.

  • Don’t worry! As a parent of two young boys, I’m all too aware of how tenuous emotions can be. With Adirondack Photography, you have worry-free booking. Did a tantrum derail or session? Did you get spit-up on you favorite shirt?
  • Life with kids is unpredictable. If something comes up before or even during our session, we can reschedule another session for free or at a discount.
